RJL ORIGINAL (VD-JL Series)
These inexpensive OEM replacement pads are great value for street and lightweight racing bikes. They don't fade in high temperatures and offer you good control in all weather conditions.

RJL CERAMIC (SD Series)
In response to health and safety concerns, we introduced 100% asbestos-free brake pads in 1989. These aftermarket products adhere to OEM specifications, assuring you a better fit and better performance. With no bed-in time, these are a good pad for beginning riders.

Sintered metals tend to have lower brake coefficients at lower temperatures, between 50°C and 100° C, compared with ceramic brakes. Sintered metal brakes develop strong braking power after an initial bed-in time of 1-2 laps around the track, and they fade at much higher temperatures. Their friction coefficient is between 0.6~0.7.
